This book was simply amazing and beautiful. It reminded me so much of "Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe," but with Persian culture, endless Star Trek references, and so much tea. Darius' voice was relatable and his experiences with depression mirrored my own, to the point where I wanted to wrap him in an endless hug of friendship. And this book contains the absolute best friendship apology I've ever witnessed. God. It was amazing. Then the subtle plot about finding your place culturally and within you family!

My favorite part was Darius' relationship with his dad. Even though Darius becomes with his entire family, culture, and boy next door over the course of the novel, it's his Dad's love his has to work hardest to discover and feel.

But when they reconcile!!!! So emotional!!!
