This book is not a light read and should be read with time and space. This books deals a lot with sexuality, mental health, and a young boy trying to explore it all. I did cry a lot while reading this book. I found a lot of comfort and I think you will too. Exploring sexuality and dealing with mental health are tough issues on their own, but when parents don't understand or support those idea it creates bigger issues. Therefore, if those are things you do struggle with or have trouble with I suggest you be informed while reading. It may hit a little close to home.
The writing style on the other hand, was beautiful. The imagery really put me in the story and allowed me to follow the story with the main character. I would recommend this book.
