This seems like a pretty interesting fish-out-of-water story, as Darius seems to feel uncomfortable pretty much everywhere he goes- home, due to his father's nitpicking, school, work, even inside his own skin- and now he's traveling to visit his mother's family in Iran for the first time and has to navigate a whole new set of insecurities. Seems like there is a lot of room for Darius to learn about himself and his family with this trip!
