What I immediately loved about this story is how completely relatable the narrator is. Darius's hilarious inner dialogue in the midst of his awkward encounters with others makes him easy to not only adore, but also to see oneself in. Even if his specific issues aren't the exact kinds every reader might encounter, there is something about the character and his geek-y charisma that hits close to the heart. He's a guy that's easily understandable, even if the issues he faces are complex.
I also really feel as though the writing of the story is really well done. The contemporary issues that were set up were particularly interesting (especially those concerning Darius's family) and I'm excited to see how they'll play out. Overall, I'm very excited for this book!
