Male /Male "ships" are all the rage!
Right now current YA contemporary ( and even some fantasy) novels are incorporating more and more LGBTQIA+ relationships and I feel that this book could not be released in a better time frame-- we,the readers,are asking for it!! People NEED to open their eyes to gender fluidity, to pansexual, to transgender, most importantly diversity itself! I think it's great that we are moving further and further into a world where it's okay to be who you truly are at a much younger age than what it ever has been before. While some people still have a hard time accepting these "differences" it's books like these that make all of the difference in the world to begin changing minds!
Becky Abertalli , the queen of writing about Male/male love in Simon and the homo-sapiens agenda and recently collaborating with Adam Silvera (the king 👑) on " what if it's us" another male/male romance has already blurbed this--- that's HAS to mean this book is pretty damn good!
I just recently finished Adam Silvera's "More Happy Than Not", also a male/male relationship and it absolutely broke my heart multiple times. Loved it nonetheless.
