The title has always intrigued me, but I had no idea that I would instantly LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this book. (Yes, the all cap letters are necessary to convey my enthusiaism.) This book is refreshing, unique, funny, and touching. It is absolutely going to be a movie someday, and I just hope the producer does it right. I love the way this book subtly includes cultural information such as the mother's Farsi joke about making good tea. I can just picture the school bullies, and their unacceptable behavior is realistic; this is exactly what goes on in schools despite all the publicity of zero-tolerance. I can hardly wait to read the rest of the book. There have already been so many small surprises (the need for medicine), and I can only imagine how touching and entertaining the rest of this book will be. I like the cover of the book, but I enjoy traveling the world and learning about new cultures. I don't know if the cover does justice to the book and/or will grab the eye of teen readers, and yet the design does fit.
