Darius is immediately an endearing character and one you want to follow around. He's imperfect and real, and his heritage gives the perfect mix of being relatable and still being someone the reader can learn from.
The family dynamic is something I can't wait to see more of in the rest of the book. I think it speaks to how many teens feel about their place in their own families. I also love the concept of meeting a family member you "know" but have never met. I can't wait to see what kind of awkwardness comes from that interaction!
