Darius the Great Is Not Okay centers around Darius, a teenage boy whose mother is Iranian and father is white, and his first trip to Iran to meet his grandparents. Darius feels disconnected from them because he doesn't know them or have anything in common with them. In addition, Darius is bullied at school and doesn't have close friends. He also feels disconnected from his father, who he feels he is a constant disappointment to. I found Darius a very relatable character, and I am curious what he'll learn about himself on his trip to Iran, and how it will help him grow as a person. I also liked how the book discusses mental health.

The cover is really lovely and well-designed.
