This First Look has further solidified for me that in terms of bringing diverse characters and stories to the forefront, YA is killing it. What a fantastic debut! Khorram has given us a beautifully flawed character in Darius, and I suspect in a few chapters we are going to be treated to some really stunning settings in Iran. The cover image backs up this supposition (stunning color choices-- this title is definitely going to stand out on shelves). This was my first interaction with this title, but I can't wait to see how it ends. I'm already rooting for Darius.
