I ended up DNFing this book because very close to the beginning I realized this was not the book I thought I was getting into. I do not like to read books with magic or characters who are supernatural and this book had that element. For those who like those types of books, I think it will be a big hit because the characters and world are so enticing. The plot got me from the very beginning and except for the fact that it had magic, I think I would have really liked this book for the plot if fighting for the highly esteemed throne.
It might get confusing for some going back and forth between different characters but I always like this in a book because it helps to keep switching things up and helps me not get bored of one person and their story.
Also, I have to say that this book's cover is one of the best. At first glance, it can seem a little weird but when you know what the book is about, it just fits in so well.
Don't take what I say for what this book really is because I didn't read the whole thing and so I think either read other reviews or read it for yourself to see what this book is all about.
