To start, the world building and character arcs were fantastic throughout. The writing style absolutely gripped me from the first page to the last. The main characters were likable and kept me rooting for them the entire time. Also, I'm a sucker for this type of story, so I was thrilled to be able to read it early.
The pacing felt a bit off at times, sometimes a bit slow, sometimes a bit too fast, bit overall kept the flow of the novel moving forward in a satisfying manner. I felt the characters interaction with on another was occasionally lacking, but overall was thrilling and wonderfully written. Quite honestly, I would love to see more from this author, either in this world or in a new world entirely, because overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and hope to read more by them in the future.
