DNF at 80%
I only made it to 80% but even still, the book was enough for me.
It was poorly written with a romance that felt as if we're being left out of things ; a girl who all of sudden has the cajones to do what she thinks she can do - but has never showed any sort of spine or inclination of being tough ; and a guy who likes to mope about his past and said girl who has lack of cajones.
I think pirate stories have been popular in the last 5 years or so, and while female pirate stories are fun and all, they can be real slogs if you don't know what to bring to the table that no one else has brought.
What this book really needs is an editor and someone who can really give the author an insight of how to write a really good 'pirate' story without relying on chemistry between a male and female to cover for the tension the book lacks. Also, the reveal of who the 'heir' was was pretty obvious.
