This book wasn’t the best, but it was still pretty good. If you love young adult books, you will most likely love this, and I mean who doesn’t like pirates so that’s always a plus.
The book is about some basically trying to fight to the death to get the bone crown. The plot of this book drew me in fairly quickly and I enjoyed that it was a nice short and fast read. The only thing was there was a ton of build up to the trials and then not much time was spent on the actual trials themselves. Some more action there would have been appreciated. But, it was interesting, a lot of fun things happened, and I enjoyed the time I spent reading it.
When I originally saw this book, I immediately thought six of crows meets hunger games meats pirates and thought that sounds absolutely amazing. I wasn’t extremely disappointed either. I loved the perspectives and the morally grey characters, there were some things that the characters did that seemed odd and I feel could have been done better but overall everything was great.
