The cover is amazing, the synopsis held promise, I liked the setting of the beginning here. But the writing style just didn't connect with me. It wasn't bad but just wasn't pulling me in like I expected to be. I'd potentially be open to reading more if I hear positive buzz - but at this point I feel like I would be slogging through the writing for what still does seem like an interesting plot!
