As an avid fan of Elizabeth Swan from Pirates of the Caribbean, the first chapter of this book gives me exactly what I always wanted: a woman at the front and center of a pirate story. I think Csilla is a really cool main character and I am really interested in seeing more of the competition alluded to in the synapsis. Kane is less compelling so far, but I think he could be a great character as well.
