A world full of pirates and intrigue sounds exciting. There aren't a lot of pirate YA fiction out there, so already this book gets kudos for a somewhat original premise. However, I am concerned that the author seems to want to tell the story of three characters in one book. While not impossible, it's certainly a challenge that we will see whether the author is up for.
