Nothing excites me more than a fantasy adventure that has the perfect blend of well-drawn characters (the kind I know are going to deeply affect me!), a perfectly immersive setting, and a plot that grabs hold of me right away and whisks me off on a deliciously dangerous adventure.....a pirate adventure to boot!
When we meet Csilla she is in the most dire situation staring death in the face, but she's a fighter and she intends to show it. I was captivated by her enduring spirit and knew I needed to see how she would fare. Add to this her even tougher sister, Rhoda, and a love interest that I have a feeling Csilla loves to hate....oh, and maybe a stowaway just to make it even more exciting? I'm definitely on board for this!
