I have been crocheting for a couple of years and I have never thought of making a rug. Now I want to! The patterns are so cute and I love that you can make sets with the animals. It has a guide in the beginning for any level of crochet for tools and stitches. It was helpful to know what yarn and hooks you would need for the patterns and if you need to substitute the yarn.The pattern instructions are easy to understand and they have stitch charts for you to follow also for a better reference. The patterns are also rated from beginner to advanced. I just wish there was a little one to make these for in my family! I especially like the panda and monkeys the best out of all the sets! I would totally recommend this to anyone who crochets or as a gift.I can't wait to buy this for myself and not get it from the library! Who knows, maybe I'll make one rug or two for myself.
