The patterns included in this book are beyond adorable, the photography is excellent and gives you a good idea of the intended size of the final product. I always appreciate when crochet books include tips and instructions for the special techniques that the patterns call for, and the diagrams here were clear. The Common Shapes section was nice for giving you the ability to create custom projects or add a little detail like a bow to any of the established patterns. I like how, while each animal includes a pattern for a rug and pillow, the third item differs between some sets (security blanket, placement, toy mat, book bag, stool cover). Offering a chart view of the stitches along with the traditional list instructions is something I haven't seen in a crochet book before.
