This book includes beautiful patterns for seven different animals, including elephant, giraffe, cat, dinosaur, and panda, among others. For each animal, there is a rug pattern, a pillow pattern, and a pattern for another accessory, like a placemat, security blanket, or book bag. Plus, there are directions for turning patterns into wall hangings instead of rugs. The book includes a section explaining various stiches and other crochet techniques. The instructions are clear and there are charts as well as row-by-row directions. There are color photos throughout the book, which show finished projects clearly.
The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars is because even though the "How to Use This Book" section lists four skill levels, including beginner, there are no beginner patterns in the book, except for some of the basic shapes like pillow bases and eyes. The projects are all fairly challenging - you definitely to be an experienced crocheter to try the projects in this book.
Also, it would be really useful if the skill level for each project was listed in the table of contents, so that readers could more easily locate projects matching their skill set.
