Librarian: I'm not sure if this book is a good fit for most libraries 600s section. Mostly because I can't figure out if this is supposed to be a children's nonfiction book or an adult one. On the one hand the cute animal patterns seem to be designed to appeal more to younger readers, on the other hand, the pattern seem like they would be too difficult for most younger crafters to handle. My only guess is that it's meant to be for older crafters who want to make the items for their children or grandchildren. If that sounds like your patrons, then this one should be picked up.
Reader: First, let me say that I am not particularly skilled at crochet. I can do it, I mean I know how, I'm just not very good. Still it's something that I enjoy, in a relaxing sort of way. That being said, there is no way I could make use of this book. It simply is too involved and requires too many components (including multiple size hooks-I have one hook. It is sufficient for making scarves and washcloths.) Hard pass from me.
