The title of this book is a bit misleading. There are, indeed, a number of adorable animal rug patterns. However, each animal rug is accompanied by a suite of patterns for other fun projects, too, such as pillows, security blankets, book bags and stool covers. If you don't have the time to make a rug, there is still a project in this book for you.
Instructions are well-written and accompanied by helpful illustrations. The book includes simple instructions for how-to-crochet, if you need help. Something I don't see often in pattern books is instruction for crocheting left-handed.
I like the patterns in this book so much that I have already started one of the pillow projects as a Christmas gift for someone special!
