This is a cute little “crochet” book that has patterns for rugs, pillows, and other bedroom décor.
Patterns are rated by BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, and CHALLENGING.
The book is helpful with regard to Canada, US, and UK gauges for the hooks with most patterns needing a US F – M/N hook along with US Bulky (4) to SUPER BULKY (6) yarn. None of these are included with the book.
The book does not provide any of the additional tools needed: scissors, stitch markers, needles, etc. So, before embarking on the projects, it might be best to make sure you have all the materials needed.
The book also has the various stitches “illustrated” for the beginning crocheter.
I’m a pretty good crocheter, but even the “beginner” patterns scare me. Still, for those who are exceptionally good at these crafts, and who enjoy making Children’s décor – I’d recommend the book. There are some adorable designs in here, which I feel would brighten any child's room ... maybe even an adult's room.
