This book is really cute. The final products are amazing. The issue is, there are missing parts to the pattern. There were no explanations for the abbreviations used. So it was unclear if the patterns were US or UK terminology.
Without knowing if the US or UK terminology is used the patterns are pretty much useless, unless you wanted to guess and hope for the best. I have yet to see a good pattern without an explanation of the patterns. So I’m hesitant to try the patterns. I don’t want to put dozens of hours in to realize my SC is actually US when it has to be UK. That small difference will change the rug and make me have to frog the whole pattern.
So while it is cute, without that guide, the book is useless to me. So I enjoyed the photos and the ideas. But I can’t just pick it up and go. If the abbreviations are explained in the introduction, then I missed it. Also people who just pick it up for patterns, will miss it. It feels like a big oversight.
