I was only able to view a few sample pages. so my review is based on that alone. The instructions are very clear. As a beginner, more instructions are better than none. So that was good! The book specifically states these will be made into rugs. A fun surprise is that every pattern can be made into wall hangings, pillows, and such as each individual can dream up. I'm excited to find out exactly what techniques are included and if all of the instructions caters to beginners. Every animal from an elephant to panda and everything else in between and outside has gorgeous photos to show what each should look like when finished. Of course, there is a license to make changes to each pattern so no way is wrong. What I do not know is if each pattern is labeled for difficulty. I do hope the Crochet Animal Rugs (& more) lives up to the pre-sale hype.
