This is an excellent book which gives you clear directions to make the items in each collection. In particular the book gives equivalents for differences in British, American and Australian terminology and yarn types which you rarely see in crochet books. All of the embellishments have clear directions of how to sew it on or what embroidery stitch is to be used. Photos and drawings are clear and show close ups to help you in placement and finishing the embellishments or 3-D elements. I have a large crochet book collection but no book like this. It will be a go-to book to make items in a collection for a child's gift or for a baby shower as who can not love a cat or a dinosaur theme for a child's room.
