This graphic novel definitely has potential. I was intrigued and wanted to know more after I had finished my Bound Galley. Will Emmy embrace her true self? Will they find the other monster that killed Ben's family? Will Emmy's girlfriend find another girl? This story approaches a fine line between relationships and suspense already within forty of its pages. As Emmy embarks on this journey with her parents and her re-found coven, will she do what it takes to stop this monster, or will she stay stubborn and continue to fight her abilities? Not only is this just an amazing story, it includes PoC and LGBTQIA+ characters. I would definitely recommend to all YA readers. In addition to everything, the illustration is spectacular! The pages are beautiful and would be the bragging right of the owner. This book has me hooked and I can't wait to see what happens next in Emmy's story.
