Coven isn't necessarily a complex story, I saw the twist coming despite the attempts to steer me away from it. There were a few plot holes, a few things I wish could have stayed around longer, but the characters and the world carried this one. Emsy's developing relationship with Ben and Ash was at the center for me. While she was more or less just the vehicle through which we got the story, I loved both Ben and Ash so much. Their arc from friends to boyfriends was sweet and endearing, a sharp contrast to the nothingness of Emsy and Joss's relationship. They were so strong in the beginning - and what drew me in to begin with - and they went no where. I think that's my biggest gripe with this story. That there was never any closure for the main character - feels like potential sequel material.
Other than that, I would read a whole series just about Katia.
