Emsy is living her best life in sunny California, spending time with her girlfriend and friend group surfing on the beach... until her parents abruptly give her the news that she has to move back East. But now tragedy has struck and they must move back to help the other witches find the threat and put an end to it. Emsy must learn the history of the coven and discover how to harness her own powers.
I am new to the world of graphic novels, so I was excited when I won a copy of this book from BookishFirst! It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon and I was completely engrossed in the story cover to cover. It's a great little escape, especially leading up to autumn and Halloween. There were a few parts where I was confused for a moment and thought I missed a page or two. Otherwise, the illustrations were great, the ending was a surprise and it was overall a really enjoyable read for my first graphic novel.
