I really enjoyed this book!
First things first, I absolutely love the art! The linework was so beautiful and the character designs were so charming. I love the use of color, especially when used for magic. It was absolutely stunning to see.
The plot of this was a lot of fun. Part of me wishes it had been dragged out into another book, but it wasn't necessary. It fits well into the one book without feeling rushed. There were a couple of side plot points that came up that I wish hadn't happened, but that's more because of my desire to see certain things happen when reading books. The book was great and did a good job at not introducing side plots that didn't go anywhere.
I loved these characters! Esmy is reluctant at first, but she ends up being absolutely lovable. I particularly love Ash. He's just a charming sweetheart who means well. Ben is so sweet and I only want the best for him.
Altogether I found this to be a really pleasant read. I enjoyed it a lot. I would love to see these characters in another graphic novel, but I don't know if that's likely.
