I loved this, but I wanted more
This was a fun story, but all of the adults were terrible. They were absent and self centered. The only things they would say to Emsy is that you have to be there for your family and you have to earn the right to have the knowledge of the coven (essentially everything was some big secret, which prevents the reader from knowing what's going on). On top of that, Emsy didn't grow up with these people and never saw them as her family.
Emsy, Ben, and Ash were great characters though. They were complex and angsty and imperfect. I would read more of their stories. Speaking of story, it felt a little incomplete. I still have questions about the magic and the coven and whatever happened to the girlfriend? Aside from that, the art style was beautiful with brilliant and vibrant colors. The story was interesting with a little bit of darkness. And the flow made it hard to stop reading.
