This graphic novel wastes no time getting you straight into the action and setting up the story. I appreciate how much of a smart alec the main character, Emsy is. She feels like a real teenager. They also do a good job of introducing the magic elements to the story. The art style is very nice and unlike some others, it's easy to tell characters apart from the get go.
