This graphic novel has great illustrations and a beautiful cover, but it might not be my cup of tea. I like the LGBTQ female protagonist and the witchy elements, but the main character seems immature and I’m not sure the premise makes sense. Witches are being killed back in their hometown, so they decide its too dangerous to stay in their new town where as far as they know, no witches are being killed. Then, they decide the safest thing to so would be to all go back to the hometown where they know there’s someone killing witches? I could understand if they decided to move back home to help protect their fellow witches, but going to the place where witches are being killed for safety makes no sense. Maybe this make more sense later on, O don’t know. Otherwise, as long as I suspend my disbelief, I think the plot is intriguing and has potential. If the main character matures a bit over the course of the story, I could see myself enjoying this novel.
