I'm wondering if we need to be in the know with the series or if there is an advantage to reading the others? So far this seems like a really sweet beginning, young love, historical fiction. The plot seems riveting so far and Saffron Courtney is a strong, independent woman who, even though she is madly in love but also a powerhouse character. So excited to see where this one goes!
