Rarely am I one for big romance in novels, but if there's one way to get me invested, set it during WW2. Forbidden love during WW2 will never, ever get old. The writing isn't the cleanest, but the premise of the novel is a strong start. I would love to read further and learn more about the path's the character's take throughout the war (we already get a hint that Saffron will become a spy, which is awesome) and how they're romance handles the conflict. A solid start.
