I usually do not read books like this as I am more into the sci fi and fantasy genre than anything else. However, this book was pretty good overall. This book is more centered around faith and belief.

This book is different because each chapter focuses on a different theme of her life which relates to a certain aspect of keeping her faith alive throughout her life (for example the chapter could be centered around resilience).
The story recounts a miscarriage and other hardships. Miss America 1990 uses a lot of her past to really instill into the reader how important her faith was to her, to her mindset, and to her personality. I think everyone can enjoy this book as it is encouraging and not your usual type of novel.
