We all have things that are important to us, that we work for or want to win. When we don't get the things we want, we are crushed, disappointed and heart sick. The thing we want is different for all people, but the principals behind it are the same, no matter what the desired item is. Debbye wanted to win Miss Arkansas, and lost. I am not here to judge what she wanted, but to learn from her about how to achieve what I want and deal with the disappointment if what I want is not what is in store for me. This book seems to fit the bill for that. Part memoir, part self-help, this book will help the reader reach their goals, but also deal with the loss if the goal is unable to be achieved. The excerpt is well written, and I look forward to reading more!!
