I enjoyed this book--wanted to continue reading to get to the end. Firefighters, arson, love, tragedy, politics: what's not to love. I liked the main characters. The family dynamic was interesting--was glad that was all layed out. They had all carried on with these heavy weights and never discussed what was happening. Was disappointed that the storyline with the developer (especially his daughter) and the mayor were not brought to a conclusion. However, this led me to believe that there will be a follow-on book with the characters continuing. The meeting with the psycholigst could led to some revelations. Loved that the main character was able to continue on after the tragic accident--will look forward to a follow-on telling what happens in their lives.
