When I first started reading Consumed, I was unsure of how I’d like it. The romance genre is something I don’t usually read. However, Consumed was much more than just a romance. With aspects of suspense and mystery, this book kept me on my toes. I also fell in love with the characters. Anne was a strong willed and determined character. Danny had his own issues but continued to fight through in his own way. It was fun to read how these two characters connect in different ways, both professionally and personally. The other members of the fire squad also made the story more exciting. I fell in love with these characters. The ending also had a small twist that I didn’t see coming. This added to the suspense of this book, making it more thrilling. I would definitely recommend this book to other readers!
