Always a sucker for a good thriller novel, especially one featuring a serial killer, I knew this one would be a hit. Especially under the pen of J. R. Ward. Throw in some firemen (or, um...firewomen), and that makes for one heck of a storyline.
The novel begins on a Friday night as Anne Ashburn and her crew are called to battle a fire at an uninhabitable old 1900s-era warehouse. In only reading the first pages of the novel, it’s easy to see that Anne is a risk taker that knows no limits.
