Anne is definitely a strong female character, she is a female firefighter following her family's footsteps when it comes to careers and she isn't afraid to talk like one of the guys or voice her opinion. The First Impression got my heart pumping, my brain interested and my eyes wanting to read more. What a cliff hanger to leave us with, Anne caught under debris in a warehouse fire … I want to know what happens, who saves her Emilio or Danny? I want to know if the relationship between her and Danny develops more than just a one night stand?
The synopsis that was given before I read the First Impression gave a lot of detail that I am assuming comes later and develops through the book... But it has my attention and I want more!!!
The style of writing is right up my alley .. very straight forward with a gritty edge of real talk but enough detail for my brain to envision the story as I read it.
The cover pops but confused me a little because I would have expected flames or something … this cover at first look like orange, yellow and red strings.
