As an avid romance fan, and a paranormal romance fan at that, I'm almost ashamed to say I have yet to finish a JR Ward novel. She has a ginormous fan-base, but her novels have never seemed to appeal to me. Because of this, I wasn't too eager to read this sample, even despite that wonderfully gorgeous cover and interesting blurb. Unlike her paranormal romance series', however, I was immediately absorbed into Anne's story, and was crushed to find out how short the excerpt was. I'm truly, and surprisingly, looking forward to this book, and if it goes as well planned as I think it will, I'd be happy to look more into the author's other works.
