I'm a fan of J. R. Ward 'Black Dagger Brotherhood' novels (reading one right now) and read other series of her that weren't that good. I also know that Ward doesn't really do a good job with female characters. She even said herself she doesn't like writing female characters. So I'm not sure how much I would like this, but so far it sounds interesting.
