I was luck enough to win an early copy of this book in the Bookish First raffle. Unfortunately, life got busy and the book was put away, and I forgot about it until Clytemnestra appeared in another book and I realized what I'd done.
I confess to not knowing who Clytemnestra was before reading this book. I didn't even remember that it was about Ancient Greece. If she lived, and this story has hardly any bit of truth, I'm not sure I could have survived all the hardships she had to. I can't imagine being in her place: being raised to only be a queen married away in some political alliance, losing your husband and baby, and having to marry their murderer. With even more atrocities to come at his hands. I could not have survived all of that, let alone waited as patiently as she did to exact her revenge, but I did enjoy reading it and I look forward to seeing what this author will write in the future.
