After reading The Odyssey, I always wanted to find out what happened between Agamemnon and Clytemnestra. Anyone that is a fan of Madeline Miller and greek mythology will love this book. The atmosphere and world-building developed by the author were artful and immersive. Furthermore, the characters were developed extremely well, and despite being rooted in ancient Greek personalities, they felt relatable and real. The story makes great affirmations on feminism and the role of women. I also love how this book touched on female rage, and showed a complex, strong female character. The dynamics between the characters, specifically, Clytemnestra's feelings toward Agamemnon, are riveting and had me turning every page with excitement.
Despite the impending tragedy that readers already know going into the book, you find yourself captivated.
