Interesting concept

I loved the overall concept of this book and learning more about mythology. I have always found it interesting, but I don't usually hear about the women and what they deal with when it comes to men or being a queen to a kingdom. The story shows a fierce a woman had to be and why they were important to men even though many men would say they weren't important at all. It was also interesting to hear about how the rest of history was interwoven throughout this story with other characters such as Helen, the Trojan horse, Odysseus, etc.

I always forget how brutal life could be at this time until I read books similar in genre to this. I enjoy reading about it because it brings history to life. The author has a way with words and I loved that Greek/historical words were brought in. I also loved that the words were italicized because it made it easier for me to focus on the text overall.
