This novel is easily one of the best books that I have read this year thus far. First of all, the cover on this book is absolutely stunning (although it does have one of those annoying stickers that don't peel off). The story follows Clytemnestra, a queen who is suffocated because she is denied power and the ability to do more because she is a woman in Ancient Greece. The story goes through how her feelings and the actions of others (namely her insufferable husband) lead her to enact revenge on those who have wronged her. The prose was really, truly beautiful. I will say that the story felt very long, because the writing is so complicated, but it is still definitely worth the time to read it. I would definitely recommend this book to fans of Madeline Miller's "A Song of Achilles" and/or "Circe", as well as "Ariadne" by Jennifer Saint. TLDR: Read it! It's good!
