Wow! This was such a powerful story. An emotionally gripping fiction al story based on true events.
I loved The Tattooist of Auschwitz so I was beyond excited when I saw Cilka was getting her own story. I was definitely not disappointed. Her strength and determination to love is strongly evident.
It’s such an emotional story and I can't even imagine everything she went though. It all started at such a young age, to be sixteen and taken to a concentration camp, only to be eventually free and then condemned and sent to a prison camp. It’s graphic in areas but that fits the truly horrifying time it’s set.
Her story is heartbreaking and beautifully written. It’s clear that there was a lot of research that went into the story. I highly recommend it.
