after reading The Tattooist of Auschwitz and knowing by the end of the book that another book was coming, one that would tell the tale of another character, one that the author made sure you loved but didn't get enough of, i knew i had to get the book right away. I don't know if it was because the tattooist of Auschwitz was so raved about and i couldn't get enough of it, but i just didn't feel the exact same way about this book. Perhaps because it is a lesser known subject and experience that the tattooist of Auschwitz. it is horrifying to know that such a thing could happen to a prisoner of the holocaust - as if they did not experience enough horror and tragedy to last them a lifetime they had to go through more.
