"Cilka's Journey is the sequel to "The Tattooist Of Auschwitz". It tells the heartbreaking story of the sixteen year old Jewish girl who was forced to be a prostitute to the German commanders in order to survive the concentration camp.
Heather Morris tells the true story of the unfair treatment Cilka received at the end of the war, and the courage and strength she exhibited to go on.
Although Cilka was unjustly prosecuted as a German war spy, she was determined to one day go home and hopefully find love and start a family of her own.
Although this book could be a stand alone read, I would suggest reading "the Tattooist" first so that you could get a better understanding of her life at Auschwitz.
This is one of the best books I have read in a long time, and I hated for it to end!
I recommend you look for this book when it is published in October!!!
